Barcelona are close to securing an addition to their academy defensive ranks, with reports confirming progress on a deal for Patricio Pacifico.
The 19-year-old currently plays in Uruguay for Defensor Sporting Club. Primarily a left-back, Pacifico’s versatility allows him to operate as a centre-back as well.
Widely regarded in South America as a promising talent, Pacifico appears to have caught the attention of the decision-makers at the Spanish giants.
