KUALA LUMPUR: Leong Jun Hao kept home hopes alive in the men's singles after marching into the second round of the Malaysia Open on Wednesday.
Backed by thunderous cheers at the Axiata Arena, the world No. 28 ousted China's world No. 19 Wang Zheng Xing 21-17, 21-17.
He will next face either fourth seed Jonatan Christie or Taiwan's Lee Chia Hao in the last 16.
