What we know after Wednesday’s games 🗒️👇

-We have games spread throughout the day for this New Year’s Eve card. There are nine games in total, with the Knicks-Spurs matchup looking like the game of the day. Those teams faced off in the NBA Cup Finals, with the Knicks prevailing, 124-113.

-The Warriors grab a road win against the Hornets. Golden State rode a 34-25 fourth quarter to snatch its fifth win over its last six outings. Stephen Curry scored 26 points in his hometown while Draymond Green tallied 10 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists.

-The Hawks snap a seven-game slide with a dominant win over the Timberwolves. Atlanta had one of its best all-around performances of the season, recording 38 assists while committing just eight turnovers. Minnesota had 22 assists while committing 14 turnovers.

Bulls Defeat Pelicans, 134-118

The Bulls won all four individual quarters in this game.

They shot 51 percent from the field while holding the Pelicans below 43 percent shooting.

Isaac Okoro led Chicago with 24 points, five rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

Tre Jones tallied 20 points and 12 assists on 7-of-7 shooting.

Zion Williamson led New Orleans with 31 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

Jordan Poole provided 26 points, three rebounds and two assists off the bench.

Wizards Lead Bucks at the Half, 65-62

Washington has this lead due to their three-point shooting, connecting on 10-of-17 from long range.

Alex Sarr and Tre Johnson lead the Wizards with 14 points apiece.

Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the Bucks with 18 points and four rebounds.

Kevin Porter Jr scored 17 points.

Thunder Lead Blazers at the Half, 73-55

OKC has just one loss at home all season, and it’ll take a massive effort from Portland to pull off the upset here.

The Thunder shot 58 percent from the field while holding the Trail Blazers to 46 percent.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads the way with 18 points and five assists on 7-of-8 shooting.

Deni Avdija amassed 15 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Knicks Lead Spurs at the Half, 73-63

New York shot 57 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range.

Karl-Anthony Towns had 15 points, four rebounds and three assists.

Jalen Brunson tallied 13 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Bulls Lead Pelicans at the Half, 67-62

Chicago is shooting 53 percent while holding New Orleans to 43 percent.

Nuggets Lead Raptors After Q1, 32-23

While Denver is without four of its five starters, the role players have come in and played some great basketball.

Jonas Valančiūnas is starting for Nikola Jokić, collecting eight points, six rebounds and two assists against his former team.

Jamal Murray has eight points, two rebounds and three assists.

Knicks Lead Spurs After Q1, 45-36

New York beat San Antonio in the NBA Cup Finals less than a month ago, and they’re looking to add to that here.

They scored 45 points in that opening frame, while shooting 64 percent from the field and 56 percent from three-point range. That’s the highest-scoring first quarter for the Knicks this season.

Jalen Brunson has 11 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns tallied eight points and two boards.

Victor Wembanyama has six points and two rebounds.

Zion Williamson Putback Jam. Q1 in the Books.

Zion has made a career of highlight dunks, and this is another notch on his belt.

We’re through a quarter in Chicago, with the Bulls leading, 36-32.

Williamson leads the Pels with eight points and four rebounds.

Isaac Okoro leads Chicago with 11 points and two rebounds.

What’s to Come?

We have a small break in the New Year’s Eve action, with four games in the books.

That leaves us with five games on the night card.

The Knicks-Spurs game appears to be the highlight game of the night. Those teams faced off in the NBA Cup Final about a month ago, and San Antonio will look to get some revenge after that New York victory.

The Thunder look to add to their 28-5 record in a home matchup with the Trail Blazers. Oklahoma City has been the best team in the NBA, while posting a 16-1 record at home.

We also have the Nuggets-Raptors, Bucks-Wizards and Bulls-Pelicans rounding out the New Year’s Eve slate.

Paolo Banchero hit a game-winning shot and led Orlando with 29 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks.

Jalen Johnson had 34 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals in a blowout win over the Minnesota Timberwolves

Donovan Mitchell collected 34 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and two steals in a victory over the Phoenix Suns.

Cavaliers Defeat Suns, 129-113

Cleveland got out to a 37-21 lead after the first quarter and never relinquished the lead after that.

The Cavs out-assisted Phoenix, 32-23, while outscoring them in the paint, 56-36.

Devin Booker led the Suns with 32 points, two rebounds and four assists.

Donovan Mitchell led the Cavs with 34 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

Jarrett Allen (16 points and 11 rebounds) and Evan Mobley (16 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five blocks) each recorded double-doubles.

Magic Defeat Pacers, 112-110

There were 12 ties and 10 lead changes in this epic battle, with neither team leading by more than 10 points.

Paolo Banchero was the hero with this game-winning shot in the closing seconds.

Desmond Bane had 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 26 points, four rebounds and two steals.

Hawks Defeat Wolves, 126-102

This was one of Atlanta’s best performances of the season, snapping its seven-game slide against a stingy Minnesota team.

The Hawks recorded 38 assists to eight turnovers, while the Timberwolves had 22 assists to 14 turnovers.

Jalen Johnson led the way with 34 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.

Anthony Edwards had 30 points, five rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

The Cavaliers shot 50 percent from the field while holding the Suns to 36 percent shooting.

Donovan Mitchell leads Cleveland with 21 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

Hawks Lead Wolves at the Half, 70-49

Atlanta is desperate to end their seven-game slide, and it responded with one of their best halves of the season.

They held Minnesota without a field goal for a seven-minute stretch in that second quarter.

The Hawks recorded 23 assists to three turnovers, while the Wolves had nine assists to seven turnovers.

Anthony Edwards has nearly half of Minnesota’s points, leading the way with 24 points.

Jalen Johnson leads Atlanta with 18 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

Hawks Defense Looks Stingy

Atlanta has held Minnesota without a field goal for seven minutes and continues to score off of that defense.

The Hawks have 19 assists to one turnover, while the Timberwolves have five assists to six turnovers.

They lead Minnesota by 21 points in the second quarter.

Kristaps Porziņģis made his return to the lineup after a two-week absence, providing 13 points off the bench.

In a matinee matchup between Charlotte and Golden State, the Warriors rode a 34-25 fourth quarter to their road victory.

Brandon Miller led Charlotte with a season-high 33 points.

Stephen Curry collected 26 points, two rebounds and four assists.

Jimmy Butler finished with 19 points, five rebounds and seven assists.

Draymond Green generated 10 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists.

Hornets-Warriors Final Moments on NBATV…

The Charlotte Hornets and Golden State Warriors opened the day with a rare 1 p.m. start, and it looks like a fantastic finish.

Golden State leads 118-113 with less than four minutes remaining.
