Mission Accomplished in 2025: Christian Alshon Thankful for Healthy Season After Achieving Main Goal – Pickleball News Asia
One-time Asia visitor Christian Alshon had quite the 2025. He won seven gold medals, 13 silver medal
These achievements prompted Alshon to declare on X: “I have achieved my best year in professional pickleball!” This best year included a highly successful stint on the PPA Tour Asia, where he won gold in Men’s Singles and silver in both Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles at the Panas Malaysia Cup 2025.
In the same post, Alshon reflected on the year that was and what he was most thankful for, aside from the success he’s had on the pickleball court: good health.
Alshon pointed out how a torn hamstring and calf derailed him for much of 2024—and how that challenge recalibrated his main goal for 2025, which was to compete in all three divisions.
“I faced a lot of adversity leading into 2025. I tore my hamstring and calf early in 2024, which put me out of singles for over seven months,” Alshon wrote. “I approached 2025 with my main goal of being able to compete in all three divisions… and honestly, I forgot that was my main goal of 2025 until writing this.”
The pickleball superstar then reiterated the importance of good health, not only for athletes but for life in general.
“There’s this saying that you have 99 problems until you’re not healthy, then you only have one problem. That’s true,” Alshon emphasised before thanking God Almighty and all those who supported him. “Lord, thank you for the overall healthy year I have had in 2025. Please help my body compete in pickleball for all the years I strive to do so. Regardless, I play for you, Jesus Christ. Amen.”
I am so proud to say that I have achieved my best year in professional pickleball🙌🏼! I ended the year as part of the #2 Men’s doubles team! I made it all the way to #3 in Men’s singles! And I stayed at rank #3 all year in mixed doubles. 🥳

Coming off a sensational year and now fully healthy, there’s no telling the heights Christian Alshon will rise to in 2026.
