Diogo Moreira completed 75 laps and set a best time of 1'30.953 to finish 20th on the opening day of testing in Buriram, focusing on learning and race simulation preparation.

Pro Honda LCR rider Diogo Moreira and his crew enjoyed a steady and constructive start to the Buriram test in Thailand, completing a full programme as they continue preparations for next week’s race.

Moreira finished 20th on the opening day, posting a best lap time of 1'30.953. Over the course of the session, he completed 75 laps, using the track time to further adapt to the category on a layout that presents different challenges.

The Brazilian described the day as positive, highlighting the importance of gaining experience on a circuit that demands precision and familiarity.

“Coming here is nice for me; it’s a different layout,” Moreira said. “It’s been a positive day, and we need to keep this up. Tomorrow, we’ll try to keep improving. It’s difficult to find the lines, and that’s why today I followed some rivals to learn from them.”

As he continues to build confidence, Moreira acknowledged clear progress while emphasising patience in the development process. The focus remains on refining the bike’s balance and making incremental improvements.

“We’re working hard. Everything will come in time; the important thing is to improve day by day,” he added.

A race simulation is scheduled for Sunday as part of the final preparations ahead of next week’s event. Both rider and crew are determined to maximise the remaining track time and conclude the test on a strong note.

“Tomorrow, we’ll focus on the race simulation. Let’s see how it goes,” Moreira said.
