Singapore’s fast-growing pickleball community now has more venues to play in after The Kallang opene

Locals should be familiar with The Kallang, as it was previously known as the Singapore Sports Hub. However, the venue was renamed in November 2025 to its current designation, which is also home to the National Stadium.

“As a destination, Singapore Sports Hub offers quality spaces and programmes for lifestyle, recreational and competitive sporting pursuits,” said Quek Swee Kuan, CEO at Kallang Alive Sport ManagementThe addition of pickleball, an accessible and inclusive sport, to our offerings reflects our commitment to be responsive to the needs of players and communities in our midst. We are pleased to partner OCBC Group, amongst other like-minded organisations, to deliver on our various initiatives to grow the sport and strengthen the broader pickleball ecosystem.”

The new pickleball facilities at The Kallang are part of a pickleball programme launched in October 2025 by the OCBC Group, which is made up of OCBC Bank, Bank of Singapore, and Great Eastern, and The Kallang Group, which manages the precinct. The initiative repurposed two junior tennis courts at the Kallang Tennis Hub and three basketball courts at The Kallang Hard Courts into dual-use courts that can be used to play pickleball and either tennis or basketball.

Players can book courts at The Kallang starting from SGD $5 per hour during non-peak hours.

In addition, The Kallang will also be holding pickleball competitions and related events as part of the programme. These events will culminate in a large-scale, top-level tournament scheduled in Q3 of 2026. The OCBC Group has previously touted that this tournament will be one of the region’s largest pickleball competitions of the year, with over 2,000 participants expected to compete.
