KUALA LUMPUR: Women's doubles Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah finally brought an end to their frustrating run of first-round exits at the Malaysia Open on Wednesday.
The world No. 2 pair did it in style, sweeping India's Panda sisters, Rutaparna and Swetaparna, 21-11, 21-9 in just 30 minutes at Axiata Arena.
Pearly-Thinaah will next face Indonesia's Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma-Meilysa Trias Puspitasari in the second round.
