On June 12, The Dink Lab Elite inside All Home in Kawit, Cavite, will host the inaugural ArenaPlus-KaTribu Pickleball Tournament, aptly nicknamed "Dink-dependence Day." This event proudly coincides with the nation’s 128th Independence Day celebration, adding a layer of national significance to the competitive spirit.

Close to 300 passionate participants are expected to converge, battling it out across beginner, novice, low intermediate, and high intermediate divisions for both men and women. This widespread participation underscores the sport's rapidly growing appeal across the Philippines.

Elite Presence Elevates the Competition

Political Heavyweights and Beauty Queens Confirm Attendance

The guest list for this groundbreaking tournament is nothing short of extraordinary. The event will be graced by prominent figures, signaling a significant endorsement for the sport's burgeoning profile. Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Patrick “Pato” Gregorio, Senator Mark Villar, and former Senator Cynthia Villar are all confirmed to attend.

Further amplifying the star power, Philippine Pickleball Federation President Shery Anne “Shawy” Cu will also be present. Adding a touch of glamour, nine Miss Earth 2026 candidates will be courtside, bringing an added buzz to the proceedings. Daily Tribune President Willie Fernandez will join Gregorio and the Villars in personally awarding the champions.

Registration is set at ₱1,500 per player, a fee that includes a competition shirt, refreshing snacks, drinks, and exclusive freebies from generous sponsors. Key supporters include ArenaPlus, the Philippine Sports Commission, and JC Premiere, alongside the Villar Foundation, Cebu Pacific, Philip Morris Fortune Tobacco Corporation, Hotel 101, DITO, Pascual Laboratories, HEAD, and the Department of Finance.
