Joy turned to sheer terror for Tigre fans as their bus was subjected to a hail of gunfire. This horrific attack unfolded on their return trip after witnessing a dominant 3-0 performance against Nacional in the Copa Sudamericana play-offs on Tuesday night.
The commanding victory should have been the highlight, securing a massive advantage for the second leg. Instead, the journey became a nightmare, with the bus taking 10 bullets. One fan was tragically shot in the arm, requiring immediate medical attention.
A Terrifying Return Journey
Footage from inside the bus paints a gruesome picture: blood splattered across the floor, alongside smashed windows and bullet holes. The attack reportedly occurred as approximately 2,000 Tigre supporters made their way back to Buenos Aires from Montevideo, Uruguay, where the match was held at Nacional's Gran Parque Central Stadium.
The injured supporter was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment. Tigre president Martín Suárez reportedly visited the fan, ensuring proper care. The club later arranged for the fan's safe return to Buenos Aires after a favorable health update.
