Sypik Honours Quang Duong as Wika Teases Something Big with a ‘G’ for 2026 – Pickleball News Asia
The marriage between Vietnamese pickleball brand Sypik and Vietnam’s top pickleball star Quang Duong
On Friday, Sypik took to Instagram to bid goodbye to Avatar and thanked him “for spreading pickleball across Asia” and for being “a meaningful part of our shared journey.”
“Sypik Avatar — when the journey completes its mission,” wrote Sypik on Instagram. “It was an honour for Sypik to be Quang Duong’s first stop upon returning to Vietnam, and to stand beside him in spreading pickleball across Asia. From supporting on court and from afar, across tournaments in the U.S. and Asia, every moment has been a meaningful part of our shared journey.”
The emerging pickleball brand also vowed to support the Vietnamese superstar “wherever the road leads next.”
“We’re proud of what we built together and grateful for the impact you’ve made,” Sypik added. “Wherever the road leads next, Sypik will always support you. Peace out, Sypik Avatar.”
The Sypik–Quang Duong partnership began in May 2025 and lasted for eight months.
With Quang Duong free from his contractual obligations with Sypik, other brands will surely look to sign him up. He is, after all, one of the sport’s biggest stars in this side of the world. But it appears another Vietnamese brand, Wika, is the frontrunner to nabbing Avatar. Pickleball voice Zane Navratil said as much in a recent video short, where he speculated about the possibility of Duong coming back to the PPA Tour.
Meanwhile, Wika fanned the rumour mill further with an interesting post on Instagram, also on Friday, where it put a graphic of the letter G replacing the 6 in 2026. Wika captioned the image as thus: “Ending with the letter “G” – to begin a new chapter! Wika Pickleball 2026 | Coming soon!”
The letter G, of course, is prominent in Avatar’s name, as both Quang and Duong end with the letter G.
So, does this mean Quang Duong will be signing with Wika next?
