KUALA LUMPUR: World champions Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei have been named brand ambassadors for Allianz Malaysia ahead of their home title charge at next week's Malaysia Open.

Allianz announced the partnership on Friday to recognise their feat of becoming Malaysia's first mixed doubles world champions in Paris last August.

The partnership officially began on Thursday.

Both players will be involved in various campaigns, specifically the Allianz C.E.O. (Career of Excellence and Opportunity) Programme.

Allianz Malaysia Berhad chief executive officer Sean Wang said the company signed the pair because of a shared belief that world-class success is built on discipline, tenacity, and motivation.

"It is not just about talent but about consistency, resilience, and the courage to move forward, values that mirror the mindset of an Allianz Life Changer," said Sean.

World No. 4 Tang Jie-Ee Wei begin their Malaysia Open campaign at the Axiata Arena on Tuesday against Indonesia's Jafar Hidayatullah-Felisha Pasaribu.

The pair will be looking to improve on their semi-final finish at the Super 1000 event last year.
