KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian badminton fans are in for a treat after Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani ensured the nation will have three pairs contesting Sunday's finals at the Indonesia Masters — one more than last year's tally of two.

World No. 9 Sze Fei-Izzuddin delivered a dominant semi-final performance, brushing aside Denmark's Daniel Lundgaard-Mads Vestergaard 21-9, 21-15 in just 28 minutes at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta on Saturday.

The victory sends Sze Fei-Izzuddin into their first final since the Japan Open last year, offering them a timely shot at ending a title drought.

Standing in their way are Indonesia's rising stars Raymond Indra-Nikolaus Joaquin, who stunned their more established compatriots Sabar Karyaman Gutama-Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani 21-19, 21-14 in the other semi-final.

Earlier, Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei and Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah reached the mixed and women's doubles finals.
