Will Howells ended his APP Tour career on a high note, winning two gold medals at the 2025 Geico APP Tour Finals before officially confirming his move to the PPA Tour in 2026.
Will Howells is set to make the move to the PPA Tour, but not before closing out his APP Tour chapter with a statement performance.
One of the most successful players on the APP Tour, Howells captured two gold medals at the 2025 Geico APP Tour Finals in Fort Lauderdale, the final event of the APP’s 2025 season. He claimed the Men’s Doubles title alongside longtime partner Jack Munro, and added another gold in Mixed Doubles with regular partner Bobbi Oshiro.
Widely regarded as one of the world’s elite pickleball players, the 26-year-old American later took to X to reflect on what he described as a “bittersweet” final day on the APP Tour. Howells thanked Munro and Oshiro for their partnership and support, expressing pride in finishing the season on a high note while acknowledging the emotional farewell.
“Bittersweet day today: happy to finish the year strong with two golds in APP Ft Lauderdale, but sad to say goodbye to two incredible partners in Bobbi and Jack,” Howells wrote. “Can’t thank them enough for their friendship and support. Looking forward to cheering them both on going forward.”
Around the same time, PPA Tour Founder Connor Pardoe also shared a message on X, welcoming Howells to the tour and congratulating him on his year-ending success.
“Excited to watch @WillHowells_pb compete on the @PPAtour the next three years,” Pardoe posted. “See you in January… and congratulations on finishing your year-end event with gold.”
Howells’ three-year agreement with the PPA Tour is set to begin on 1 January 2026.
