USA Pickleball has partnered with DUPR, making it the official rating system for all USAP-owned events. The move aims to unify the sport, standardize player rankings, and ensure every match counts toward a trusted national rating.

DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) and USA Pickleball (USAP) have announced a landmark partnership making DUPR the official and exclusive rating system for all USA Pickleball-owned events. This aligns USAP with thousands of leagues, tours, clubs, and organizers worldwide that already rely on DUPR as their standard rating system.

Under the agreement, match results from USAP events — including Golden Ticket tournaments, where medalists earn spots at the USA Pickleball National Championships — will now contribute to players’ DUPR ratings. The partnership aims to create a more connected competitive pathway and reduce fragmentation across the sport.

“This is a pivotal moment for pickleball,” said Mike Nealy, CEO of USA Pickleball. “Our goal is to deliver consistency, fairness, and clarity for players at every level. Adopting DUPR provides a reliable rating framework, strengthens competitive integrity, and reinforces the ecosystem of sanctioned play.”

Tito Machado, CEO of DUPR, called the move “a major milestone,” noting that it unifies the National Governing Body and the broader pickleball community under a trusted rating system, ensuring every match counts and performance can be compared fairly across venues.

From youth and recreational play to elite national championships, USAP supports participation and competitive growth at all levels. By integrating DUPR into its tournament structures, the organization aims to standardize player placement, bracket fairness, and ranking consistency, strengthening the national pathway for athletes and unifying the sport under one rating system.
