KUALA LUMPUR: So… who is the lucky woman who has captured Soh Wooi Yik's heart?

The national men's doubles ace set social media buzzing after posting a cozy photo with a mystery lady — and adding a simple but unmistakable caption: "I love you."

The 27-year-old shared the picture on Instagram, pairing it with Japanese star Utada Hikaru's classic ballad First Love for extra effect.

That was all it took.

Within hours, the post racked up more than 104,000 likes as fans flooded the comments section with congratulations, playful teasing and plenty of curious questions.

Wooi Yik currently has 462,000 followers on the platform.

He stopped short of revealing her identity, but that did little to calm the excitement — or speculation — surrounding his post.

Known for being private off the court, Wooi Yik rarely pulls back the curtain on his personal life. This one, though, felt like a soft-launch moment his followers had been waiting for.

Among those who joined in the fun was former national teammate Goh Jin Wei, who left a warm congratulatory message.

Wooi Yik, who enjoyed another strong campaign in 2025 with partner Aaron Chia — including a rise back to world No. 2 and three titles — will now hope his good form continues into the new season.

The former world champions are set to open their campaign at next week's Malaysia Open — this time with fans wondering whether there may be a new supporter cheering him on from the stands.
