KUALA LUMPUR: World No. 2 Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik moved a step closer to reaching their second final in as many weeks after advancing to the semi-finals of the India Open on Friday.

Aaron-Wooi Yik produced a composed performance at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi, needing just 30 minutes to dispatch Taiwan's world No. 15 Lee Jhe Huei-Yang Po Hsuan 21-19, 21-14 to extend their perfect head-to-head record against the pair to 5-0.

The path to the final appears favourable for Aaron-Wooi Yik, who finished runners-up at last week's season-opening Malaysia Open.

They will next face either Taiwan's world No. 20 Liu Kuang Heng-Yang Po Han or Japan's world No. 22 Hiroki Midorikawa-Kyohei Yamashita, opponents they have yet to lose to.

Aaron-Wooi Yik will also be keen to capitalise on the absence of in-form world No. 1 Seo Seung Jae-Kim Won Ho, the

pair who beat them in last week's Malaysia Open final, after the Koreans withdrew from the tournament at the eleventh hour.
