KUALA LUMPUR: Men's pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik's campaign at the India Open ended in the semi-finals today.
The Malaysian world No. 2 were outplayed by Japan's world No. 22 Hiroki Midorikawa-Kyohei Yamashita 21-10, 13-21, 21-11 at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex.
Hiroki-Kyohei, coached by Lee Wan Wah, won the first game with aggressive attacking play and creative shots.
Aaron-Wooi Yik tried to come back in the second, but Hiroki's front-court interceptions foiled them.
