Carlos Alcaraz continues to grow beyond tennis after starring in Vanity Fair’s first dedicated global sports issue, where the Spaniard discussed fame, fashion and his growing rivalry with Jannik Sinner.

Carlos Alcaraz has added another milestone to his growing global profile after appearing as one of the cover stars of Vanity Fair’s first-ever issue dedicated entirely to sports.

The world No. 2 features alongside basketball star A'ja Wilson and football superstar Kylian Mbappé in the special edition, which explores the cultural and commercial influence of modern sport.

Although currently sidelined by a wrist injury during part of the clay-court season, Alcaraz remains one of the most recognisable figures in world tennis. The Vanity Fair feature highlights how the Spaniard’s popularity now stretches well beyond the court.

Photographed in Miami by Ethan James Green, Alcaraz appears in a fashion-focused spread featuring brands such as Louis Vuitton, Nike and Rolex. The magazine described him as one of the leading faces of a new generation of athletes capable of combining elite sporting success with global celebrity appeal.

The accompanying feature also focused heavily on Alcaraz’s rivalry with Jannik Sinner, a matchup that has quickly become one of the defining rivalries in men’s tennis. Their battles have frequently been referred to by fans as “Sincaraz” and are increasingly viewed as the sport’s next major era following the dominance of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

Speaking about the rivalry, Alcaraz said both players are proving it is possible to compete fiercely on court while maintaining mutual respect away from competition.

The Spaniard also made it clear he is determined to build his own identity rather than be compared constantly to previous tennis legends. Alcaraz explained that he has worked hard to create his own style of play and wants fans to recognise him for his individual approach to the sport.

The feature further underlines Alcaraz’s growing influence at just 23 years old, with the Spaniard continuing to establish himself as one of the leading figures of the next generation in global sport despite his current injury setback.
