The 2026 MotoGP season in Thailand showcased a standout performance from Marco Bezzecchi, whose dominance at the Chang International Circuit left fans and competitors alike in awe. From securing pole position to crossing the finish line in first place, Bezzecchi delivered a masterclass of speed and precision, marking a strong statement for Aprilia Racing. The team celebrated further success, with four Aprilia bikes finishing in the top five.
Even reigning 2024 world champion Jorge Martin admitted that Bezzecchi was performing on “another level.” Martin, finishing fourth, acknowledged the gap in pace while remaining confident about his own progress. “In terms of pace, taking away Marco because he is on another level right now, I am not far from second or third position,” he said. Martin, still recovering from a challenging 2025 season, rated his weekend performance a solid 9 out of 10.
Bezzecchi, however, remained grounded despite his triumph. He credited Aprilia’s hard work over the winter for the improvements but stressed the importance of focus and consistency across the long championship. “It is only one race. The championship is very long. We must stay calm and focus on making the most of every weekend,” he said.
Martin, meanwhile, is channeling his energy toward returning to peak form. “As soon as I can attack fully, I think I will take another step forward, and that will bring me into the fight for victories,” he said. With Bezzecchi setting a high benchmark and Martin aiming for a resurgence, Aprilia fans can expect an exciting season at the front of the MotoGP grid.
