Honda has officially unveiled its 2026 MotoGP contender, the RC213V, signaling a renewed push for championship success. The bike retains Honda’s iconic red, white, and blue livery while prominently featuring new title sponsor Castrol, marking a new era after the conclusion of the long-standing Repsol partnership. The refreshed design highlights Honda’s commitment to innovation and strategic partnerships.

Factory riders Joan Mir and Luca Marini will pilot the 2026-spec RC213V, which builds on the team’s resurgence in the latter half of 2025. Aerodynamic and engine upgrades last season helped Mir secure two podium finishes, including a standout home race at Motegi, while Marini improved to finish ahead of his teammate in the standings. Despite Johann Zarco’s dramatic rain-soaked victory at the French GP on a satellite LCR bike, Honda aims to secure its first factory win since 2021. The team ended 2025 fourth in the manufacturers’ standings, earning promotion to Group C on MotoGP’s concessions ladder, which is a key advantage for development.
The RC213V has already undergone initial testing with Honda test rider Aleix Espargaro and new LCR recruit Diogo Moreira during the shakedown at Sepang. Factory riders will get their first official rides during five days of pre-season testing, split between Sepang and Buriram ahead of the season opener in Thailand. With Honda’s launch complete, all 11 MotoGP teams have now revealed their 2026 liveries. Meanwhile, Honda is preparing for the future, continuing tests on its 850cc machinery ahead of the significant regulation changes scheduled for 2027.
