Pro Honda LCR rider Diogo Moreira claimed 13th place at the Grand Prix of Brazil, continuing his steady start in MotoGP.

The Grand Prix of Brazil delivered intense action under scorching conditions as the MotoGP field battled high temperatures and heavy tyre wear. Riders faced a challenging mix of strategic overtakes and physical endurance, making every point hard‑earned on the demanding Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna circuit in Goiânia, Brazil.

Points finish secured in tough conditions

Starting from 14th on the grid in front of a passionate home crowd, Diogo Moreira faced a tough opening as rivals like Álex Rins and Fabio Di Giannantonio made early gains, forcing the rookie into a challenging recovery.

Despite high tyre degradation and soaring track temperatures, Moreira stayed focused, gradually reclaiming positions and holding off riders behind him to cross the line in 13th, securing 3 championship points on home soil in only his second MotoGP appearance.

Moreira pleased with progress despite tough start

Moreira said the team enjoyed a positive yet demanding weekend, describing it as busy but ultimately smooth in execution. However, he pointed to the race start as the key difficulty, having lost several positions off the line, which forced him into a challenging recovery ride despite showing competitive pace throughout.

He added that securing points and gaining valuable experience were the main takeaways from the race, while also expressing appreciation for the strong support he received across the weekend.
