MotoGP viewers in the UK and Ireland will now need to adjust how they watch the sport, following a major shift in TNT Sports’ streaming platform.
TNT Sports has moved its MotoGP streaming coverage from discovery+ to HBO Max, which has recently launched in the region as the broadcaster’s new digital home.
The change means that fans who previously streamed races through discovery+ must now use the HBO Max app or website. Existing subscribers can continue accessing MotoGP content by logging in with their current credentials, without needing to create a new account.
Despite the platform switch, TNT Sports remains the official rights holder for MotoGP coverage. The transition is part of a broader restructuring under Warner Bros. Discovery, which is consolidating its sports content into a single streaming service.
The new setup also includes coverage of other motorcycle racing series such as WorldSBK and the British Superbike Championship, all accessible through the same platform. Subscription packages remain available either as a standalone TNT Sports plan or bundled with wider entertainment offerings on HBO Max.
For fans, the shift represents a change in viewing habits rather than access, with no interruption expected to live broadcasts. However, it signals a continued evolution in how MotoGP is delivered, as streaming platforms play an increasingly central role in global sports coverage.
