MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi has made it clear that he has no intention of returning to ride a premier class motorcycle, even in a test or exhibition. The nine‑time world champion retired from grand prix competition in 2021 and insists he is content with his life beyond the MotoGP paddock.

Valentino Rossi, one of the most iconic figures in motorcycle racing, has confirmed that he will not return to ride a MotoGP bike again, even for testing or non‑competitive appearances. The nine‑time world champion retired from grand prix racing after his final start at the 2021 Valencia Grand Prix, ending a record 372 premier class starts.

When asked about the possibility of getting back on a MotoGP bike, Rossi’s response was definitive. He told a fellow former rider that the idea was not something he wanted to pursue, making it clear he is not driven by a desire to ride in the world championship again.

Rossi explained that without the pressures and obligations of competition, the appeal of getting back on a modern MotoGP machine simply does not interest him. He said he does not miss racing at that level and is satisfied with how his career has unfolded.

While Rossi no longer competes on two wheels in MotoGP, he remains involved with the sport through his VR46 Academy and enjoys riding other types of motorcycles, such as Yamaha R1s and smaller bikes, with friends and younger riders.

Since stepping away from MotoGP, Rossi has shifted his competitive focus to four‑wheeled racing, taking part in endurance and GT events. His post‑MotoGP journey reflects a broader passion for motorsport, but for now, there will be no return to premier class motorcycle racing.
