The 2026 Official Sepang MotoGP Test wrapped up on Thursday with Alex Marquez leading the overall times after three days of pre-season running at the Sepang International Circuit. Despite mixed conditions and several riders focusing on long-run work, Marquez’s blistering pace ensured he finished at the top of the combined Day 3 standings.
Marquez, riding for Gresini Ducati, set the quickest lap of the final day with a 1 minute 56.402 second effort, the fastest time posted across the entire test and very close to the all-time Sepang lap record.
Marco Bezzecchi on the Aprilia Racing machine impressed to secure second place on the combined timesheet, while Fabio Di Giannantonio completed the top three for VR46 Racing Team Ducati.

The final day saw a strong return from Yamaha, whose riders were back on track after missing the previous session due to an engine issue, although they remained outside the very fastest times.
There were also positive long-run signs from several teams, with Marquez showing impressive consistency over sprint and race-style laps, and Bezzecchi making strong gains as Aprilia continues its development.
With the Sepang test completed, teams will now set their sights on the Buriram Test later this month, using the data and insights gathered here to finalize race set-ups ahead of the 2026 season kickoff.
